The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech redesigned its web site in 2010. As the Communications Director, I managed the entire project which took almost one year to complete. Working with faculty, staff, students, and School administration, I was able to able to create a new user interface and overall design for this web site. I also implemented a new content manager, Drupal, to align with the Institute’s content management system and to allow multiple users within the School to update content on an as needed basis.
I was awarded the Georgia Tech Best Web Site Design award in 2011 as a result of this initiative. Currently, I am responsible for updating the majority of content on the site, images, and new functionality. In addition, the web site houses all marketing publications I create for the School and its programs to ensure easy accessibility to all of the School’s end users.
